Southport’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Southport is committed to positively impacting our community, our region, and building relationships between our business and its stakeholders.

Philanthropy is one way we take responsibility. However, measuring our level of commitment requires more than just that – it requires a clear view of how we set our standard of excellence in CSR.

• Board of Governance:
  Southport has established a system of governance through its Board of Directors. This system of governance enables the organization to function properly, efficiently, and ethically.
• Employee Involvement:
  Southport is a community. Every year, members of our staff involve themselves in the community at various levels and capacities. They give their time, talents, and hearts to help make a difference.
• Donations:
  Southport helps charitable organizations in the community achieve their goals with an array of donations.
• Gifts-In-Kind:
  Little things mean a lot and donating money is not the only way to support the community. Southport has donated space for meetings, recreation, storage and classes, as well as furniture, appliances, and equipment to community organizations.
• Sponsorship:
  You’re bound to come across the Southport logo when you attend various community events. Southport is proud to be the sponsor of numerous community sports teams, scholarships, proceedings and events.
• Employee Care:

• Environmental Stewardship:
  Southport is situated on 1,500 acres of land, and it understands the importance of a healthy environment. Maintaining green space, building interactive relationships with surrounding farmers, and meeting environmental building requirements are all part of its effort to preserve our community and the environment.
• Ethical Behaviour:
  Individuals and organizations need to take responsibility for their actions. We have established various policies; procedures and guidelines to ensure our Board of Directors and employees comprehend, and adhere to, the high standards of ethical behaviour expected of them.
